Our Program
City Music Lesson Studios proudly host the area’s most qualified instructors, all of whom are teaching and performing professionals. Our teachers offer outstanding musical instruction in:
- Ear Training
- Harmony
- Violin
Private lessons are 30-minute weekly sessions that are charged by the month. Hour lessons are available upon student request and teacher approval.
Our instructors gear their private lessons to the student’s skill level, focusing on the individual student’s goals and interests.
Students must bring their own instruments. However, amplifiers, drums, and keyboards are provided during scheduled lessons.

Registration
The student or family member responsible
for lesson payments must be present to
complete the registration and policy forms
at the time of registration.
A non-refundable fee of $10 will reserve the
student’s place in the private lesson program
and will apply to any additional group program
while taking private lessons.
Students also receive a free manuscript book with
their paid registration.
Tuition Payments
Monthly Lesson Plan:
$112/ 4 weeks
$140/ 5 weeks
Monthly tuition is payable in advance with
credit card auto-payment. Students will be
charged on the first of each month unless they
indicate their plan to withdraw 1 week prior.
Trial Lessons: $30 per 1/2 hour, payable when the lesson is scheduled.
Summer Program: City Music offers additional
tuition options for temporary and vacationing
students. These plans will be announced in the spring.
Attendance
Studio time for our lesson instructors is scheduled well in advance. Once a lesson time has been selected, students are expected to commit to attendance on a weekly basis; lesson payments are due regardless of attendance.
Planned Changes: The Lesson Coordinator can assist you in addressing any planned scheduling changes you may have. Be sure to review future schedule conflicts with our Coordinator, who will work to find a suitable lesson time for you.
Unplanned Absences: While unplanned absences cannot be credited or refunded, providing the request is made 24 hours in advance, we will do our best to reschedule any unexpected absences.
Should you need to discontinue lessons altogether, please notify the Lesson Coordinator as soon as possible. Students need to give one week’s notice and will be refunded any remaining paid lessons.
Teacher absences and weather cancellations: If the instructor is unable to reschedule a lesson cancelled by themselves or by weather, an account credit will be given at the student’s payment plan rate.
Holidays and Closings
City Music’s studios hold lessons, regardless of public school vacations or closings.
However, there are no lessons on these
holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
Weather Cancellations
Weather cancellations will be posted to our
home page at citymusiconline.com and on
Facebook as they are declared.
